God works in unordinary ways, using unlikely people, to do unique things. We are going to dive into the story of David in hopes that students that will develop a faith in God that is unshakeable. We will look at David’s success and failures. We will see the raw story of a young boy who became a man of God. The story of David has been told so many times, but the hopes is this time through will be uncommon.

- Objective: Every student can be a passionate follower of God

session 2 - Unrivaled
- Subject: David and Goliath
- Central Theme: David was superior because his hope was in God and not in himself
- Objective: Every student has potential because of God’s ability not their own
- Key Verses: 1 Samuel 18:45 “David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defiled.” 1 Sam 17, 2 Cor 11:23-28

- Subject: David and Bathsheba
- Central Theme: Our sin has been found out, but can be undone
- Objective: Every student can embrace the freedom and forgiveness of Jesus
- Key Verses: Psalm 51:1,2 “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love, according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.” 2 Samuel 11:1-5, 2 Sam 12:13, Psalm 51, Rom 3:23, James 2:10
session 4 - Unalone
- Subject: Jonathan and David's mighty men
- Central Theme: Importance of friends
- Objective: Every student can grow in their relationship with God by having healthy relationships with people.
- Key Verses: 1 Sam 18:1-4 “Now it came about when he had finished speaking to Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as himself. 2 Saul took him that day and did not let him return to his father’s house. 3 Then Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself. 4 Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was on him and gave it to David, with his armor, including his sword and his bow and his belt.” 1 Sam 18, 2 Sam 23
